Home entertainment installers repair, adjust or install audio or television receivers, stereo systems, camcorders, video systems or other electronic home entertainment equipment.


While only three states require home entertainment installers to obtain licenses, the restrictions rank a relatively burdensome 39th compared
to other occupations studied. Each state requires applicants to pass an exam; Louisiana and Massachusetts require two. Louisiana also has a
significant education and training requirement -- a full two years.
